En ces temps plus qu’inquiétants, où en Europe comme dans le monde, se développe le retour d’une idéologie nauséabonde dont on connaît le pouvoir dévastateur, réactivée par de furieux zélateurs (Musk, Trump, Poutine, Orban, Meloni, Netanyahu, Kim Jong Un, Erdogan, etc. etc.), voici une expo dans le pays qui a vu naître le nazisme, un rappel en images bienvenu, fruits d’artistes de la jeune génération qui n’oublient rien de ce qui a failli détruire l’humanité tout entière il y a plus de 90 ans et qui continue d’instiller haine de l’autre, guerres et génocides en tout genre…
L’exposition « Fascismes mondiaux » examine de manière critique les dynamiques esthétiques, sociales et politiques du fascisme, questionnant son attrait et ses mécanismes idéologiques. L’objectif principal est de comprendre le fascisme non seulement comme un phénomène historique, mais aussi comme une menace mondiale permanente qui transcende sa définition historiquement limitée et se manifeste aujourd’hui dans divers contextes politiques, culturels et sociaux. En se concentrant sur les contextes historiques et contemporains dans lesquels prospèrent les idéologies d’extrême droite, l’exposition interroge des notions controversées telles que « identité », « communauté » et « appartenance ».
L’exposition réunit les œuvres d’une cinquantaine d’artistes internationaux qui réagissent à la montée des idéologies fascistes à travers divers médias, dont la peinture, le cinéma, la performance, le discours, les publications et les supports numériques. Des œuvres historiques complètent l’exposition collective, créant des liens surprenants entre passé et présent.

In these more than worrying times, where in Europe as in the world, this return of a nauseating ideology is developing, whose devastating power we know, reactivated by furious zealots (Musk, Trump, Putin, Orban, Meloni, Netanyahu, Kim Jong Un, Erdogan etc. etc.), here is an exhibition in the country which saw the birth of nazism, a welcome reminder in images, the fruits of artists of the young generation who forget nothing of what almost destroyed all of humanity more than 90 years ago and which continues to instill hatred of others, wars and genocides of all kinds……
The exhibition Global Fascisms critically examines the aesthetic, social, and political dynamics of fascism, questioning its appeal and ideological mechanisms. A key aim is to understand fascism not only as a historical phenomenon, but also as an ongoing global threat that transcends its historically confined definition, manifesting in diverse political, cultural, and social contexts today. Focusing on the historical and contemporary contexts in which far-right ideologies thrive, the exhibition interrogates contested notions such as ‘identity’, ‘community’, and ‘belonging’.
The exhibition brings together works by around fifty international artists who respond to the rise of fascist ideologies through a variety of media, including painting, film, performance, discourse, publications, and digital formats. Historical artworks complement the group exhibition, creating surprising connections between past and present.
